- On June 17, 2008, BGMEA and IFC-SEDF signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to monitor occupational safety and health condition of employees engaged in BGMEA member industries in Dhaka. Under this initiative, all active factories in Dhaka have already been examined by BGMEA social compliance monitors, and a database is being developed.
